I been doing a lot of testing, did compatibility mode, and none of it work on any OS mode. I did all kind of settings altering by windows side, and no dice, so I went, and mess with DX9_38 32bit switch to newer version, older version via system32 but nothing works. So main menu it blast your system to #### FPS, but soon get into a level it drops to 8 ~ 11 FPS for no reason. I took a look at hardware monitor, barey using GPU, but what I find odd, it trying really hard to max out a single core on my CPU go...

This seems to be a fairly solid pattern in game development and particularly amongst indie developers: the game's supposed to be an "homage" or is "in the style of" or "inspired by" or "pays tribute to" such-and-such - but then when you actually look at it, you realize you'd much rather play such-and-such instead. Is it that, in deciding they want to make an homage/tribute/whatever, developers become so locked into some kind of tunnel vision or something where they can't see outside of that one fixation an...
