Crash when connecting to rockstar services
Haven't played in months, decided to try because of new update. The Rockstar games launcher keeps crashing while attempting to connect to the online services. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher multiple times and it doesn't change anything. Anyone else having issues?

hmmmm, I wonder if the new update brought in a bunch of new/returning players and the servers are just overloaded then.

I am having the same issues as well. I just bought a new Pre-built PC MSI Aegis RS with windows 11 and yesterday I decided to install Grand Theft Auto 5 on Steam and I have been experiencing what you are going through. I tried downloading/installing a older version of the Rockstar game launcher, and yes it did resolve the issue with the "Rockstar Game Service" not responding/freezing/crashing, but now I'm faced with a new problem with the game not launching and Rockstar launcher constantly loading.

That makes it sounds like there may be a compatibility issue with Windows 11 and the current version of the Rockstar launcher.

So, no idea how but i fixed it. I read online that One Drive can cause some issues, so I logged out of it and back in and now it works.

If you're on Windows 11, make sure you have one drive synced in your file explorer. Mine wasn't, and doing that made it work for some reason.

Try this ...
Use windows uninstall to remove both the R* Launcher and the Social Club.
This is important, and if you have already just deleted them, reinstall and then use Windows (VIA the Control Panel) to uninstall both.
When you next launch the game it will re-install both, during this re-install what you want to see are the permission prompts during these installs.
Give the game the permissions it ask, and see if it that fixes the issue.
