Anti-cheat in GTA 6: Online?
I hope the anti cheat is better in GTA 6 than what's currently available. GTA 5 would have a lot more playing if they had been proactive about people ruining years worth of game play online.

What do people think of the BattleEye changes/addition? Have you seen a reduction in cheaters since the implementation? Finally, when you get griefed by a cheater in your lobby, do you use the report function in game? Thanks for the feedback!

It has made absolutely no difference as menus where up 4 hours after it was put in . 5 months later half have returned and are updated (even free ones) and probably in a few months it will hlbe like nothing ever happened.

As for the ingame report feature, it is as useless as the anticheat and does nothing.

Yes I see almost no cheaters when compared that was before. Griefed ? Not at once, becouse when i see something wrong (ex. player using autoaim or teleporting himself when flying in person in the sky without any vehicle), i just go to solo public session and end my mission in peace but without public bonus, but it's very rare lately.

For me game is very playable right now and when in doubt i just made my game instantly solo public or I change session (by touching different keybinded key) or "job teleport" within session, so cheaters are just wasting their time when trying to catch me.

I very much agree with you. I find it very hard to play in public lobbies still, and it's RDR2:O as well.

Have to agree with old squeaky as they still teleport everyone to the same location then crash the lobby and do all the other usual things

There are only 2 choices when game is hosted peer2peer.

1. Game is totally unplayable becouse mass cheating. For me = uninstall.
2. BE with some cheating. You don't like option 2 ? Don't play at all or have another PC, only for playing games.

I know for sure, that cheaters will not like option 2 from obvious reasons. Do you see other solution for this problem other then hosting a game on Rockstar servers which is rather out of the question ? btw, I played many years in World of Warships, when people used some mods to their advantage - aimbots, but not for totally mess with other players. like god mode, magic bullets etc, becouse it was impossible (they have they own game servers). Later on, they invented their own anticheat coded into game, and there is still huge modding community, but every mod must have their approval to run.

It is already sold each day when you use you socia media , phone, bank card etc .

If people want privacy then I suggest them not to play the game at all or use a gaming pc that has no others information about you and is solely used for games and nothing more.
it will be an enhanced AI robot arm anti cheat
whenever you cheat the robot arm would slap you :BC_Deny:

They directly profit from allowing cheaters to play. Particularly cheaters who paid to have a cheat menu. This is one reason why they chose BattlEye, because it primarily only affected the free cheat menus. Paid cheat menus were up and running within 4 hours of BattlEye being implemented.

It goes like this. Allow cheater to play for several hundred hours (minimum) before banning them. A percentage of the cheaters who were banned will buy a new copy to return within 5 minutes to continue playing with the cheat they bought. They are allowed to cheat for several hundred hours more before the next ban, rinse and repeat.

This allows Rockstar to toss out bans to get a boost in sales figures right before quarterly reports, in addition to keeping sales of the game artificially high for years and years after release.

Cheaters also help them push the sales of shark cards. Cheaters drop free money on poor players, letting them buy a few fun vehicles or weapons (free drugs) which gets them hooked and wanting more, so they break down and go to Rockstar (the drug dealer) to buy some shark cards (get more drugs)

Overall they also get a benefit from gullible moronic players who see the addition of anti-cheat and are fooled into thinking that Rockstar will actually take steps to combat cheating.

We already know for a 100% fact that GTA 6 will be just as cheater infested as GTA V and RDR 2 are.
GTA6 wont be released for PC because, and I quote "PC user are too cheap"

At least no plan to do so currently, will be console exclusive until further notice

the effectiveness of any anti-cheat depends on updates it receives because cheaters update the tools they use

The solo lobbies and friend lobbies were the greatest thing to be introduced to the game. R* should use it as a gold standard as to at least give players the option to escape the griefers and cheaters all be it for peaceful and reduced payouts. It was a great step in the right direction.
the best would be a private fixed lobby that can be created by a player and be open to friends or public if the owner chooses to. the only cheaters who are not using mod menu are the scared and mentally weak since any idiot with at least 3 digit IQ knows how easy it is to cheat and they will anyway, and also linux and steamdeck users have lost complete access to the game, and not even mentioning the performance issues, Kernel level ACs use a noticeable CPU power. truly the most retarded and lazy way to fix a cheating problem. if i had to bet,it probably was made by someone in california.
