Battleye conflicts with dinput8.dll file from the most popular mod Script Hook V
(for single play Battleye can be disabled in the Roskstar Games Launcher settings)

Yes, you can also use -nobattleye command line to disable the need for storymode.
(still have to downgrade the game version, or wait for scripthookv to update)

Downgrade files if needed to get back to 1.0.3274.0 -
(or search youtube, reddit, google, just make your own backups.... etc)

edit - some users are complaining at the 'newest' update - I am assuming the 40mb one that pushed a new launcher update - is causing them problems. Still no issues here. Without more details, who knows what versions, files, mods, etc are/were done, etc. Again, after yesterday, and today's updates- my rolled back gta5 works just fine for modded storymode.

I wish I had seen this 20 minutes ago before I blew all the mods away and did a fresh install. I was like "they really just nixed any single player mods?". Le sigh

I disabled it and it still doesn't work for allowing me to play story mode. Looks like I'll just wait for an update.

dinput8.dll supports 1.0.3274.0, but now GTA V is 1.0.3323.0
