NO ROLL BACK POSSIBLE
guess i have to wait and hope that the modding scene doesn't depend too much on the online community to make it worthwhile keeping mods updated..
might be overreacting a bit but the ensh!t!f!cation is starting to get to me..
It did one BETTER..IT WILL COST THE CHEATING GTA PLAYER LITTERALY..um it will know the TYPE of pc u r using..and your connection..so if a cheat is ACTIVE IT WILL BLOCK THAT PC..[now get a new pc] and your connection ..it will detect your IP ADDRESS.. so now you need a new IP.....so in the long run it will COST A LOT MORE MONEY IF CHEATING..SHORT Answer no cheating
Regardless, if you didn't previously make your backups -you can get downgrade here -

Scripthookv for 1.0.3323.0 has been updated.

The person MAY DOWNGRADE only to get an update AGAIN..SO DOWN GRADE WONT BE WORTH THE TIME
Yes, when R* decides to push 'anothor' update - they may have to do it again.
OH NOES, it iwll take all of 3 seconds to extract teh .exe from the zip and downgrade.
Many people only play storymode after sales, mod it, and it holds their interested for a couple weeks/month. Within the time of game updates. At that point, many do not care.

set steam to offline mode and you're good to go.
thanks for providing that , however, I get a scripthook.net error...
guess i'll be patient and wait for the mod devs to catch up

What is the scripthook error?
(hoping you were on 1.0.3274.0 ---- and not an even earlier version)
(if you were on an earlier version -you could try putting the in the 'available' scripthookv files. Could quite possibly be the same for shvdotnet)
If it complains about versions/critical error - you likely didn't replace the .exe. IF ou 100% did and still have problems like mentioned above, you might not have been on the 3274 version, and on something older. In that cause you might still be using an even older scripthookv version. Again, you can try installing the 'available' scripthookv version in that case - which works for the downgrade provided - 3274.
If it just asks about checking for versions - hit no, it should load. Granted I've only done my testing with scripthookv only, and not scripthookvdot net, openiv, or anything else.
But yes, steam in offline mode is also valid. Likely only need to repeat if for 2-5 days til scripthookv gets updated. With all the hubub over this -Alex may update even faster.
edit/below - now, if only everyone frothing at the mouth over this would read, and understand. Battleye = no going online with scripthookv storymode mods (you couldn't before anyway but I digress -.-)
Now, you have to specifically uncheck battleye in the launcher to use storymode mods. Call it a second protection for online. If you uncheck it and try to go online - through normal means - it says battleye is required. Please now, stop confusing the 2.
We are discussing an error 'rolling back' the game to a previous functioning version. It literally works here. There is 100% reason it shouldn't work for anyone who was modding storymode 'before' this update - at least on the steam version. That isn't how steam works. -.-
edit - LIkely on an older version of scripthookv then if still putting out version errors.
http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/ ----- That should work with it.
Though, if you got it working/past version errors-- and it loads but crashes, it's possible the current mods you're loading are causing issues too. Game updates frequently break them. Then you'll need to monitor both scripthookv, and garagemod for updates.
If you are using scripthookvdotnet in there also - it has also been causing problems and needing user to put in the various nightly versions.
And, there can be savegame file/corruption issues.. so.. yea.
Modding storymode over the last 6 mos has been a bit more a pain than usual =\
Script error; IN ENGLISH MEAN ANY ^CHANGE^ IN PROGRAM FILES..THE PROGRAM WONT RUN OR <FIX THE ISSUE>...
yeah it's the version thing but i am sure i replaced the .exe with yours...
i done too many years of troubleshooting and am now a "very" casual singleplayer only type of gamer..
i'll just wait until i can use the garage mod again.. (literally the only mod i am interested in)
Edit. tried it again and now it starts with the Loading Story mode screen and just crashes to desktop, no error.
meh
thanks for your feedback though. and good on ya for making the old .exe available!
