Scripthook?

Hello, due to today's update Scripthook stopped working and I can't run my mods (story mode only!!!). How long it usually take to update it?

This always happens with each update, it's not Battleye's fault. Just wait for it to be updated.

I'm "new" in PC version of GTA V (couple of months) and it never knew it happened before with each update, so I got "a little" annoyed thinking that I can lose chance to play on my custom routes, but you calmed me down with this info. Can you also tell me how long it usually takes? Like 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks?

It's up to the developer of ScriptHook. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes it takes weeks, at worse it will take a month or two but that has only really happened once if my memory doesn't fail.

Alex will update scripthook in 1-14 days usually. The last few updates have been within 2-4 days. (he does live in Ukraine/that area IIRC)

The easier method is to set steam to never update gta5 - when you see an update, backup the typically important files - update, and drop the old ones back in. Instant roll back for stroymode users.

You will need to disable battleye in the R* launcher/settings for storymode mods to work. Mine are working fine, on my downgraded files provided.


as for 'scripthook' and cheating online - the game literally won't let you go online with the correct scripthookv created for storymode modding - altered version error. If the game as been out for 10 years, and people keep BUYING it, they can also keep BUYING it for storymode. It isn't like there are not new players coming to it every year, hell, every sale - and modding up their storymode.

Thank you, I'll do what you said to protect my game from similar situations in a future. Luckily, my mods are still in GTA V directory so I hope they will be fine.
By the way, I have question about Alex... there is literally ONE GUY responsible for whole modding scene in this game? :o Like, if he does not update Script Hook, no mods will be working?

Is that Battle Eye anti-cheat program is safe, or not? I have dobuts, most of players wrote here it's not safe. But i can't play with GTA 5 (online/invite only session, i never play with singleplayer/story mode) without install this Battle Eye. If i cancel it, the Rockstart Games launcher is closing too. I don't know what to do. I can't put an ignore/not run list the Battle Eye, maybe for it i should install it. But i don't want to install it. I never cheated.

It's too early to say safe or not but it works on kernel, so it's way too deep for just an anti-cheat, but if you play online, you have to install and run it...

The new update in FOR GOOD..IT STOP OTHER PLAYERS FROM CHEATING..A FORM OF CHEATING IS CREDIT YOUR GTA MONEY. KICK PEOPLE OFF LINE ..TELEPORT PLAYERS ANY WHERE IN GTA ONLINE....
