Considered the PS5 Pro but pre-order price reveal had me thinking: heck no.
Might still get an XBOX Series X though, if the performance isn't going to be an issue (which it will).
Whether or not I pick it up on PC after that - really depends. Windows 11 is a dead egg, I won't be using it on any personal machines, though as one of those people who still have a functional Windows 7 machine, I'll be able to ride this Windows 10 gaming rig out for some time. Two years after GTA 6 lands - who knows what the PC landscape will look like, perhaps SteamOS will finally have stolen the gaming landscape from Microsoft and it's government spyware OS.
It's all but guaranteed to be the worst game Rockstar has ever produced. Largely in part because all of the talent behind making GTA and RDR two of the best game franchises ever made have left Rockstar. The new developers hired to replace them are going to be far more subservient to the suggestions of the insanely greedy, anti-consumer, non-gamer executives at TakeTwo.
Eventually I might don my tricorn hat, eye patch, and set sail aboard my galleon to see how bad the story mode is for GTA 6.
Rockstar and TakeTwo will never see another penny from me.
They've gone to being one of the best game companies to being one of the worst in the short span of two games. It's an amazing accomplishment really.
I wont be buying a console period, and doubtful be buying GTA6.
Nothing i have seen so far shows me any development towards what i would have liked to see in GTAO/GTAV
Outside of story/missions, the freeroam world is largely dead.
Can not enter most buildings,
Most businesses do not function, cant buy food, dont need to eat
Can only rob a few gas station/liquor stores.
Could have been way more adhoc free roam stuff to do / interact with.
I dont see anything like that coming with gta 6 so far.
And i dont see it ditching peer to peer for client server, which would allow a lot more people in a lobby.
Neither. And not buying the PC version either, because it'll likely be infested with cheaters and R* won't do a damn thing about it like what they did to GTA Online.
Even if cheater free, unfortunately unless something majorly changes by launch time, they have done nothing in it compelling enough for me,
