Report a translation problem
Each account has a unique ID associated with the player. So you set up a database for cayo runs that includes data for the player's unique ID, the date & time for when the cayo was completed, the primary target, the total take, and the cuts assigned.
Then you look for counts of records for unique ID's where the target is the same, date is the same, and time is within an hour of each other.. Anything more than 2 accounts of the same primary target taken (and completed) within in the hour period would suggest foul play.
This method would become even easier to utilize for the Panther Statue as that is a limited time item, so any players that loot that more than once within the time frame it's not available had to have glitched to save it.
TL;DR: Yes, there's ways R* can tell.. Do they care is the better question.
As one player put it, players cannot help if their connection legitimately drops, so R* will likely be lose with this. However, with enough data analysis, they can conclude when it's a one-off connection issue vs intentional disconnecting..
Taking 0%, not spamming the same mission over and over and swapping with a buddy has always been pretty safe.
