License Plate Creator not Working?

People have had issues yeah. I remember the days when it was fun and easy to change plates with iFruit. Alas that is yet another thing Rockstar has taken away from us.

It's been a while since I've used it, but I remember the app was never updated with all of the new cars added past a certain patch. I can't remember which patch...but if you have a garage full of only original GTAV cars and get into each and every one and wait for the app to update the last...ten cars you were in, I believe, then it might work again and allow you to create a custom plate. Just put it on one of the cars and save it, and then you can just move that custom plate to whatever car you desire when you go back to the game.

Same, the website version has never worked for me. Vehicles from GTA5's launch, DLC vehicles from over the years; none of it worked. I could make the plate and it'd say it was ready for pick-up, but the option never appeared in-game.

Be in-game, have that car active that you're making plat for (i.e. sit in it next to LSCM, you could be in invite only session just in case too), then place the order.

Yep. I've had an issue with it as well, but then experimented some and yea, that's exactly how it's done. Be in game at the time you make a plate, have that car you want to customise ready and then make the order, it WILL work. The iFruit app was more user friendly, I take it, but it was discontinued and this is now, how we make custom plates. Just follow instructions to the letter and you'll have your custom plate in the game. I have 3 by now. 3 custom plates are prooving, that the website does work. If it didn't, I wouldn't be able to have a single one. I used the iFruit app back on the PS3, but since I started playing on PC, they discontinued it. So yea.
EDIT: it also works on a smartphone, I don't like to use my RAM eater (aka Firefox browser) together with the game, so I'm using the custom plate website on my phone while in game.
