Is BattlEye safe and does it stop hackers/modders?

Yes it seems to be if your afk for too long battle eye kicks you from the session without a reason but the real reason is they don't want you afk making money in the nightclub can't imagine why lol

Is the idle timer less than what it used to be when we'd AFK before BattlEye? If so, that is beyond wild. I used to AFK idle all the time, but if that timer is shorter, there's practically no point anymore - unless one uses a physical automatic mouse moving machine.

Interesting. That's a new one for sure then because I used to do the same (though shouldn't cause it can cause stick drift). I am going to try it and see how long it takes for BattlEye to kick me out. I hate booting into Windows, but my curiosity has been perked.

Vanguard is basically the only one that gets talked about favorably.

maybe they upgraded their afk check and can see if a player is only walking in one direction

time to upgrade for fancy mouse jiggler and auto hot key which click more bottons but i don't know if ahk might trigger the stupid battle eye nowadays

And rightfully so, you should feel that way - especially considering Rockstar was very happy to have that SteamDeck Verified badge on their Steam store page for two entire years, selling GTA5 so thousands and thousands of gamers. They were going to pull the plug long before they did. Rockstar just needed a skapegoat to blame for the cheating.

Rockstar essentially kicked your face into the dirt and pissed on it while giving you the middle finger and then ran away with your money.

Hopefully you seriously consider not doing any future business with Rockstar.

Hackers were way down before battleye happened. At least in my experience. I used to go to solo or private sessions, or enable a firewall rule that blocked the game so that I could play solo because you used to not be able to play in public. But this year, most of the time I've just gone into public sessions and gone about my business. There's been hackers, but only maybe 2 or 3 times I've actually left a session because of what they were doing... I just ignored the ones who were having fun being idiots with their friends. It wasn't hurting me.
