GTA won't launch with mods

I installed the script hook V and replaced the gameconfig and everything starts, but as soon as I install the trainer mod the game doesn’t start at all. I don’t know what to do anymore, I tried installing other mods and still the same thing

Game updated today. The 'new'/available scripthookv is now outdated again.
Downgrade if you have the last version's .exe and try again.
Yes - this info is about storymode modding... /facepalm

edit - or I read that wrong, and you've already downgraded.
In that case - trainers do also become outdated and cause issues....

As I mentioned in the other thread, the cause seems to be menyoo.
I've tried uninstalling the mod and uninstalling the game to no avail.
I even have the latest version of scripthook.

Yes, the latest version of scripthook.. means... nothing as the game updated.. today.

Same problem here, I also just found out that there was another "mini update" today (December 13th) after the actual update from December 10th.

Currently trying to roll back to the December 10th release, hoping to get my mods running again.

Yes, because scripthookv isn't actually loading it when you delete the trainer....

You can do the same thing with native trainer that comes with SHV.
Newest game copy + the NOW OUTDATED scripthookv = doesn't l load.
Delete nativetrainer.asi - boom loads- and again, no trainer.

Downgrade your game. I have .exe's avail on my profile if you didn't make a backup.
Works absolutely fine here.

Luckily I have the old mod files, so I'll try the downgrade.

I just tried my downgrade and it works. For those who are interested in how to get the old exe files:

Open up your steam console (tutorial link: https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-downgrade-steam-games/) and then, when you are in the console, type the following command:

download_depot 271590 271591 5144417026296384239

This will download the exe from December 10th which is working with the latest Scripthook V.

It worked for me, so: good luck!

Guys,the problem is file from scripthookV "dinput8.dll"
But you can't play with mods without this file,so the only solution is waiting for scripthookV update lol

Yes, I found that out yesterday. It's been 3 days for me without GTA V and I am literally freaking out. I thought it was RDE, and SHVDN nightly.5, but it's just SHV. I tried re-installing the game, getting rid of all my mods, and doing everything I could. I hope Alexander releases something to counter that mini-update, because I can't take another day without my Las Venturas map from SA.

The game seems to launch with scripthook fine for me, but adding any additional mods stops this. From reading this thread I guess it's because SH can't actually load anything until its also updated?

Just my luck this ♥♥♥♥ happens the same time I reinstall the game.
