GTA V Just Updated Again!
Rockstar are a real pain in the 'F'n you know what. They updated only a couple days ago to 3407 and, just when everyone started getting their games working again, they now go and update to 3411 messing up the brand new Scripthook, Rage PlugIn Hook, etc. Thanks Rockstar. You guys are such frickin' geniuses. Now why don't you go do something useful like work on your next game - GTA WOKE! LEAVE V THE HELL ALONE!!! :steamfacepalm:

Okay, to the mouthy hotshots, YES, I already did the downgrade beforehand, but that doesn't change the fact they keep needlessly screwing around with this.

R* can/will continue to update the game 'which includes gta online' - as they see fit. They don't have to let us mod storymode. Would have been nice had they separated the sp and mp? Yep. We've said/asked that for years. Welcome to modding. They aren't the only ones.

edit - For those coming in - the game literally updated 'today' - the 13th. Scripthookv is not throwing the usual 'scripthook critical error' that usually clues in people to an issue. Instead it acts like it is working and dies if it has to load .asi's. A downgrade, waiting for scripthookv to be updated, or removing storymode mods - are your options.

edit - and to be clear - this thread and 'most' of the comments to a point were about single player / storymode modding. -.-

edit - Scripthookv has been updated now for 3411 -

I see. Thank you. I don't use it, but I understand online players don't think much of it to begin with.

I see your point, but seeing as we bought the game, I think we deserve the option whether to update or not. Yes, we can downgrade the version, but we shouldn't have to. I think Rockstar never understood the old axiom 'The customer is always right' and as you and many others said - and I believe as well - they should have separated the versions. It's extremely arrogant and rude of them.

Probably BattlEye update, get used to it whilst this likely privacy intrusive anti cheat is in the game.

honestly, battleye or not, it's not uncommon for follow-up patches to be required following a new online DLC.. which is why it updated a few days ago in the first place.. so while you might not play online, it's still worth paying attention to what's going on in the online side of the game.. at least when it comes to new content or expected updates..

I can't get the game to run now post this recent update. The launcher does it's thing and then says "GTA is already running"

Be it online or SP it's hard to miss it when they're always making big announcements about their upcoming updates.
