Seriously?
just move it Right from Darnell business app...
Wait, it doesn't go around to Quick Job?
The phone menu is like this:
Email x Messages x Contacts
Quick Job x Job x Darnell app (used to be settings)
Camera x Internet x SecuroServ
Are you saying the settings are on the rignt next to Darnell app? Like hidden? Pressing right moves to settings? I always thought it cycles between those three icons in each row, presssing rigt from Contacts would send you back to Email. No?
I didn't know there are two pages of the icons. I've always seen it as a grid of 3 by 3 icons, where you scroll from one end to the other instantly by pressing the opposite direction (when you're up on messages and want to go all the way down to internet, just press up again and it goes "around"). It still goes that way in the up/down manner, but I didn't expect another page being added in the left/right direction.
So to wrap it up here. Thank you for the info.
I would thank the first guy for the same info, if his response didn't sound like actual mockery. Seriously how am I supposed to know things? Isn't that why people ask questions?
A nice moderator out there could lock it here, please.
Yes, because there's no real motivation. I've mentioned that in my OP. I don't do glitches involving the phone's "on hold" function, which I guess is part of quick job menu and don't play with randoms, so there's no need for me to join quick job, even accessing the icon whatsoever. In fact I'm avoiding it as much as I can. And guess where that icon is? Yes, just across the Darnell business app (formerly settings), which I assumed (and was wrong about it), that going right from there would take me back to quick job. Again, no motivation to go there at all. That's why I don't explore stuff. If I think that the phone menu is a fixed 3 by 3 grid and each end of it takes me to the other end instantly by pressing the opposite direction, then what can motivate me to go that way? Literally nothing.
Oh yes, compare a game with its limitations to real life technology. I wonder, if the in-game phone can also get frequently updated, download various applications (chosen by the player) and stuff, that's pretty much standard for today's smartphones. We definitely need R* to add a wireless charging and the ability for your character's phone to get out of juice - realism forever.
For the record, I use only two pages on my smartphone (with optional info feed, that I don't count towards the overall number of pages), don't need 50 of them. It's easy to access the phone's settings through its dedicated icon on the main page. Also easy to get into the main menu, which is a row of 5 collumns of icons, continuing downwards beyond the screen. Something that can't be done in the game, does it?
I'm really sorry to wrongly assume, that the in-game phone has a fixed 9 icons in a 3 by 3 grid. How foolish of me. But it's R* we're talking about here. The same company, that removed cars from the in-game internet in the same game, it's not a stretch to think they'd remove an icon from a phone in spite of another in their "fixed" 3 by 3 grid.
Alright, I'm done here. My question was answered, thank everyone for participating (whether helpful or not), have a nice one everyone.
