Bought a steam gift card to buy GTA V, but it isn't available in my region. Am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥?

I'll be rather forward with this, since I'm not exactly in a good mood about this whole situation..

I'm from Venezuela. As you know, GTA V isn't available to buy in my country for.. Understandable reasons, I guess. (It's just a game.. But fair enough.)

I've recently redeemed a steam gift card for $20 in hopes I could simply buy the game with a VPN or change my store region.. Turns out it isn't that simple apparently. Already tried VPN, already tried creating a new account.. Nothing works. And my assumption is I can't get my money back to my Binance account (only way to buy online in USD here, credit cards), which leads me to my question..

Am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥? Is there virtually NOTHING I can do to get GTA V now? Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

You could see if u can buy from Epic Games Store or R* store. However you can't buy it from Steam if it's region-locked. Before you could someone else from other nation to gift. Valve perma-blocked those as well.

refund. then buy from the social club store for their reason and change the region when the acct is created, or do the same with EPIC. game is not worth it

You can go to profile and change to any country you want to.

There's so many better games/company out there.

Your are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes, bypassing region lock to manipulate game buying won't work and is not allowed to begin with.
You need to move to a other country and obtain a bank and resident address to buy it legitimately on steam.

In other words you won't be getting this game on steam.

And? who said anything about a gift card? Sounds like you made a bad assumption.
OP is talking about buying the game, not shark cards

I assumed you meant shark card, because there is no reason to refund a steam gift card. When I said Refund, I meant refund the game, not the gift card.

OP is talking about buying the game, not shark cards

the title of the topic says he bought a gift card to buy gtav. i dont know of any place that let you refund gift cards.

I see the confusion now, I thought the last response meant shark cards as there is no reason to refund a Steam gift card since you can spend it on any game.
I guess that was my point, refund the game if bought, which it does not seem, and buy another game as this game in my eyes is a waste of time. Wasn't thinking about Steam gift cards, as they can be spent on anything, not just GTA. Shark cards you're SOL and have to buy GTA V to use it.

You can get your Steam account banned for using a VPN to buy from another country. Just use the money on a different game, or move.

Eh, I guess Fitgirl is a pretty fair option this time... Imagine having the money but not being able to buy the game because my country is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Moving is a plan I have yes, but it will have to be in a couple of years. I'm finishing college, and starting an engineering career soon. at least 3 more years give or take.

But thank you all for the feedback! I appreciate your time. I guess I'll just wait for the summer sale and buy Forza Horizon 5 or something, I've been wanting that one too for a while.
