The Mk2 was never OP, you're just bad and the Thruster always beat it.

The Thruster is faster than the MK2 (in air), has the same number of missiles, and the same number of flares, and is 1/4th the price.

The Mk2 will always lose to a Thruster as long as the Thruster pilot knows how to use it, because of 1 very very simple mechanic the Thruster has always had:

If you are flying forward at full speed all missles explode behind the Thruster and not on it.

This means you make the MK2 run out of missles and flares before you every time as long as you only use your flares when you are turning.

This has been a thing since the Thruster came out. I've been being called a hacker for killing MK2 trolls this way for years.

I put off putting this info too out there but did hint and elude to it many times (if you search the discussions for Thruster and dig a bit you'll see I've been encouraging people to experiment with the Thruster more for years) because I was never 100% certain this wasn't a bug but with the Thruster added to the Avenger, I'm thinking Rockstar has to know about it and haven't changed it, which was my whole goal is them not to change it.

So yea, if you ever thought the MK2 was OP, you just didn't experiment enough and find out the Thruster can outrun homing missiles. (homing barrages, like the Akula can do, MIGHT still hit you but it's not a guarantee and they are more likely not to)

You can fly forward while descending

And if you had to get out the railgun then you aren't using the Ruiner which is what I was asking and what you said.

You can fly forward while descending

And if you had to get out the railgun then you aren't using the Ruiner which is what I was asking and what you said.

still cargobob can carry me up to you

and that's using a cargobob plus your ruiner, ALSO the cargobob can't get as high as the Thruster while carrying a vehicle.

Those barrages RARELY work on the Thruster because the heat signature it's locking onto is behind the Thruster. A missile literally has to miss to hit.

Like first you say the cargobob can take you up when it cannot, (which was the second time you moved the goalpost after saying you could do it with just the ruiner) then you assume something will work that you obviously haven't tested. You're literally being that kid going "but I can do this"

And if you want we can even take it a step further and you can add me and we can fight. I'll even stream it to youtube.

Oh and 1 last thing: even if you could get a cargobob high enough, which you cannot, how the ♥♥♥♥ would you ever catch up to the Thruster, which is again faster than a MK2?

And THIS is why everyone thought the MK2 was op.

This was not bait at all, go test it.
Let someone shoot you with homing missiles while you fly away from them in the Thruster.
I don't even care if you never respond again, just go test it.
I'm not here to argue with anyone or "bait" anyone (I challenged homeboy to a fight to END the argument; I frankly should have opened it with a "sure bud" and left it at that but hindsight 20/20 blah blah) I'm here to reveal the Thruster's secret now that I'm confident Rockstar isn't changing it.

And you can search the discussions here, just type in "thruster" and you will find I've been trying to point this out to players without making too obvious to Rockstar literally for over 4 years.
