The cars aren't actually gone.
they've just been removed from storefronts, not the actual game. is this a blatant ploy to hold these vehicles for ransom behind the diamond casino and those stupid car showrooms, one of which is still console-exclusive? yes, absolutely. are they gone for good? no. did they get removed from your garage? no, they're still there.

and be honest with yourself here: if they were still on the stores, would you actually go buy them? really? R* have player statistics that show who has these vehicles, and possibly even data about how often they show up in freemode instead of rotting in some forgotten garage in paleto bay. they said lesser-used cars, and i believe them. when was the last time you even saw someone driving a faggio?

this kinda sucks, but for the people who liked the cars on this list, you already have one, and for the people that don't, you weren't clamouring for them before, so what has actually changed here?

if you ask me, what R* should do is make another vehicle website and just dump this trashheap in it. make it a parody of ebay or something, and then we can still have the vehicles without them clogging up the main stores, which is the best of both worlds.
(I'm aware that this was the original idea behind SSAA, but obviously things have changed)

No, they aren't actually gone. They've just been added to an eternal drip feed like rotation which sucks. Most of them have been in the game for years. If they had NEW cars that were used for this it would be one thing but to take old cars and do this...no.
i would also like to point out that a staggering number of these vehicles spawn in freemode, and can be stolen and turned into player vehicles free of charge.

Some new cars have been removed too. See the other threads on this topic.

Edit: e.g., Verus was released later, and has been removed.

I tend to agree; I don't have many vehicles, maybe 40 or so, but I probably use less than 5 of them 90% of the time. The only vehicles I still save for and buy, are specials, like the Toreador I recently purchased for instance. I do feel however, that a game developer like R* should be more thoughtful of making sudden, sweeping changes like this one, and then sneak other things under the radar at the same time, like increasing the C/D for phone missions.

The thing I hate most about R* is that they introduce money making activities/missions, then the moment they notice players making "too much"(By their definition) money, they mess around with it to make it harder to make bank.

a fair point. some forewarning, or even user input on this change would've been a better way to handle this, rather than pulling the plug, and by extension, 180+ vehicles from the storefronts. as for them messing around with missions, i would like to note that earning money has become significantly easier for players with access to some of the "better" business buildings, like the bunker and nightclub.

Rockstar knows exactly why people want so many cars in the game.
It's variety and lot more potential choices.

It's the reason that some people like the hustle & bustle and crowded cornucopia (with lot of options for entertainment and activities) of city/urban life, while others prefer the quiet pace (less options for entertainment and activities) and small population of village/rural life.

Rockstar has removed (without prior notice!) a lot of the variety and choices of cars & bikes from the game, and put it behind subscription paywall not even available to PC gamers. This is nothing but daylight robbery due to corporate greed.

Gamers are not just pissed because some vehicles were removed from the game, they are also pissed because now it is a lot fewer variety & options to choose from. And the gamers know that Rockstar will pull same stunt with other types of content too.

In fact, this scam by Rockstar, is the death knell for GTA-V. Because when a big company cannot even add some new content, but instead removed existing content and makes it pricey/unavailable, it means the company is no longer wanting to or capable of improving the product & services, and it means that both the product & services are on their death bed, and will die sooner or later.

my brother in christ, like 60+ of these cars spawn in freeroam and can still be stolen and turned into personal vehicles. yeah, it's kinda scummy, but nobody even used these cars to begin with. "oh but it's about the variety". really? you're getting mad because there's less cars to scroll past as you look for the one car you've already decided to buy? that's it? you didn't even want it to begin with, you just wanted it there so you could ignore it. face it, out of every vehicle you own, there's less than 10 of them that you actually use.

and as for the game dying. you know GTA 6 is coming out in the next couple of years, right? they have to sunset this game at some point. even if you were right, and i disagree with you on the simply fact that the steamcharts playercount tracker seems to be trending towards more players as time goes on, the march of time stops for nobody.

i'm not saying you shouldn't be upset that things are no longer openly-available. and i will admit that there were a small handful of vehicles that i liked in that list that i can't just buy anymore, i'm saying that you should really consider how much this actually changes your play experience, and temper your outrage beyond the reactionary "cars gone me angy" stance that people have taken.

It's a trick to make already existing and forgotten content interesting again. Requires no effort from r* and increases revenue from GTA+ and shark cards. They took cars that nobody uses and made them rare and exclusive to increase their value. Before this nobody bought them and after this, people pay real money to get these, not just in game currency. They are playing us as fools

again, there's methods to easily obtain most of the cars in that list. as for the others, you didn't want them before, and you don't want them now, so why do you care? if you ask me, making them rare gives them at least one reason to exist, which is one reason more than they used to have.

I bought the cars I wanted, some are on this list. I use them sometimes bc I only bought cars I like. I'm simply explaining what they did and why. If you want to endorse this kind of business decision by spending real money for access to recycled content it's up to you. I don't judge you for that. I just think it's a d**k move by r*

I knew people would start making excuses for this, nothing will ever shake peoples addiction to this game.

Funny that you keep saying that 'you can steal the cars and put it in your garage'
While stealing super cars, and u going to modify it. it says "Your car is too expensive to modify/steal it."

So you're talking bs, or you don't even know what you're talking about.

Another thing is. They put some vehicles in Vinewood Dealership, and you can only buy it from that Dealership if you're a GTA+ member. (Who the actual fk though of that???) All those cars was 'free to begin with. And now...'

But keep defending them fanboi.

PS: I already mentioned in another post where u where talking in there.
I USE A LOT OF DIFFFERENT CARS IN HEIST!!!
So don't say "NoBoDy UsE ThEm!"

Doesn't matter, it's lazy. They are recycling content trying to keep this dead game alive for as long as possible and I think they've milked it enough. Especially when they can't even make decent new content to keep it alive.

tell me you didn't read the thread without telling me you didn't read the thread. i'm not saying it was a good idea, i'm saying that people are over-reacting, but keep getting mad at other people instead of voicing your complaints to R* themselves, i guess.

So you agree that Rockstar is KILLING this game, by taking away existing variety and choices, by REMOVING that content (without prior notice to existing customers!) and putting the STOLEN content (stolen, because content was silently removed AFTER people paid for that game) up behind a subscription PAYWALL that's exclusively available only to CONSOLE players not PC players.

Let this game be shut down a year or so AFTER GTA-VI gets released, then no one would have likely minded. But by deliberately crippling an existing game, years before its sequel is even released, and by spitting in the faces of existing customers by REMOVING existing content from SOLD game, Rockstar has proved that that neither do they deserve any further support from players/customers, nor do they deserve any respect as a game studio.

Just so you know, old games like Spore, Titanfall2. etc. and those retro games on GoG etc are still having ALL their content and servers active even more than a decade+ after original release. And people are still buying those old games because those games are heavily discounted but still fun.

Do you think potential customers will buy GTA-V or GTA-VI once they come to know that Rockstar is removing content from its existing games and giving it only to console players only via expensive subcriptions and microtransactions? Nope, this game is dying, and it's plainly because Rockstar is killing it (not "sunsetting" it as you tried to falsely claim; any game can be sunset gracefully with advance notice without suddenly removing its existing working content).
