Worth it for FiveM or Lspdfr?
Do you think the game would be worth rebuying on Steam mainly for FiveM or LSPDFR? I heard these two things are better than the original game.

I recommend FiveM. LSPDFR is basically dinosaur age ware as it is a pain to maintain and keep working. A lot of YouTubers that did series on it abandoned it. FiveM is more popular/streamlined and isn't a buggy mess unless you join a rough server. With being worth it though that is up to you, if you've been watching YouTubers play it and it really interests you, maybe consider it, if it doesn't interest you than just don't buy the steam version. Edit: FiveM is safe, you don't have to make a new R* account just for FiveM,

I'd suggest FiveM, it's wildly different compared to GTA Online but in a good way. There's multiple servers available and you just need to find one that fits your playstyle. Minigames, casual gameplay or even roleplay if you'd be interested in that. The RP community is pretty large and seems welcoming - all you need to do is to find a good server. (Plus it actually has moderators and people are properly punished if they break rules so that seems pretty neat)

From my personal experience on both playing on and viewing FiveM servers I wouldn't worry about bans as a casual player, it seems to be more fear mongering than anything apart from a few cases. If you are concerned, just ask the average FiveM playerbase if they got banned from GTA Online because they play on FiveM.

fear mongering? With that logic, should I go ask a average modder/cheater if they have got banned? Is it ok/safe to mod/cheat if they have not been caught? Horrible logic

Seems like OP is settled. Mouse icon is beside his username now and he put some time into it.

@Soosmokie, if you weren't already aware having FiveM and playing on player created servers does not break Rockstars TOS, they had recently updated it and commented on player owned servers as stated;
"Rockstar Games has always believed in reasonable fan creativity and wants creators to showcase their passion for our games. Third party “Roleplay” servers are an extension of the rich array of community-created experiences within Grand Theft Auto that we hope will continue to thrive in a safe and friendly way for many years to come."
tl;dr they are accepted and acknowledged by Rockstar themselves with exceptions to the rule, mainly 'lootbox' or pay-to-win mechanics being used within the servers then Rockstar / Take-Two would take action. If you or anyone else were to install and play primarily on FiveM you would most likely be fine and would not receive a ban. If you were to own / create / run / administrate a server that promotes pay-to-win mechanics (i.e. Lootboxes, 'NFT's, pay-to-play, ect) you run the risk of being punished by TOS.

Atleast that's how I have read it, I could be wrong and could very well be but with Rockstar acknowledging FiveM and the large community behind it, it would be a bad decision on their half to suddenly ban players who would use those community servers.
(See the June 1st 2017 Reviews for the game which included Take-Two going to take a stance against OpenIV, the "Backbone of almost all of GTA V Mods")

the server can still break tos, the "updateed policy" isn't actually an update but an expnasion of the original rules, explaining that even tho they support third party projects they can break eula and can risk bans. play at your own risk.

just verify your bios is up to date, and keeping windows security maxed before exploring fivem servers, turn on controlled folder access, and have a back up ready. do not allow any sort of accesses or bypasses.

Does not break the TOS? I'm not sure I agree.
Your opinion. Take the risk if you want.
