Gta v not starting please help
I have bought it for the first time on steam. I downloaded it throughout the night and when i finally clicked "start" on steam, it started downloading rockstar launcher. everything went as expected and i linked the account. it asked me if it should turn on cloud sync, i pressed yes.

the process was done and the game was supposed to be launched by now. but no, rockstar told me that an error occured and gta v was already running. on steam, i had the option to exit game but the game hasnt launched yet. i checked the task bar and saw that it was running on the background but not launching. if i clicked "end task" it wouldnt go. i had to restart my pc to get rid of it. then i opened rockstar launcher and steam and tried to launch it through rockstar launcher. for a moment, it showed "loading game" and then gave me the option to exit game. but it didnt launch. i verified the files and tried again multiple times. nothing works. it just doesnt open and runs in the background. can anyone help me with this?

specs :
gpu : gtx 1660s 6 gb
cpu : ryzen 5 3600x 4.2 ghz
ram : 16 gb
game installed in ssd
os : windows 11

If you ran the file integrity scan in Steam for GTA V, you might want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Launcher and the actual Game and see if it's one or the other program.

Try going to steam/settings/storage, select GTA 5 and in the bottom right click the move button. This will allow you to move the game to another drive. Now try starting it in that drive. If it works, try moving it back and see if it now starts in your original drive. You will not have to uninstall/reinstall with this method.

This worked for me in GTA San Andreas original steam pc edition when clicking on the start button went from green to blue and then back to the green play button without starting the game.
i have reinstalled the game and im still getting the same issue. i moved this to another drive and tried to start it but it didnt. i dragged it to this drive again but still not working

Do you have any Rockstar games that work? Can you sign in at the social club?

https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/

You used steam to move it correct? Why did you use the term dragged? You need to move it with the steam interface as I did to see if the method works for you.
Yes, i moved it using Steam

Were you able to sign in to the social club?

Try turning off your antivirus.

Restart your pc. Do not shut down the pc, press restart. See if steam updates.

FIRST
Either reset or disconnect the router for a couple of minutes.
Do a system restart.
SECOND
Try logging into the Social Club VIA the net out of game and come back and tell us if you can't.
THIRD
GAME ...
Using the Windows uninstall VIA the control panel uninstall both the R* Social Club AND the R* Launcher.
When you start the game the next time it will re-install both and you should get the permission prompts.
Then come back and tell us whats up, or tell us "I've already done all that stuff".

And if you're running any single-player mods.

Tell a few more details about your system, and install.
It will aid those that will help.
Is it a Laptop?
Is the install on an external?
Is it a Modded install?
Are you having any other issues with any other games?
