I think you have to be in first person when you start the process as it won't switch in the middle.

you gotta be in first person BEFORE you stop and it asks for services. once the services menu thing pops up, you cant change it.

Rockstar is so corporate now. There was a day when they made a game and didnt care what soccer moms had to complain about. So they took something awesome like GTA and turned it into a selfie/jogging/tennis/yoga simulator/easy car handling not too offensive pile of ♥♥♥♥.
