you need 64bit!

32 bit is really old, and cant be supported anymore in new games.
you need to install new 64 bit windows to play this game..

maybe ask a friend who is good with computers to help you?

Windows has announced that all Windows 7 and 8 users will get a free upgrade to Windows 10.

since gta v required 4gb ram and on 32bit os u can only use like most 3,2gb or something so no u wont be able to run it at all... and they wont add 32bit support it needs to die!

The minimal requirements are 4 GB system RAM and 1 GB VRAM, which combined are impossible to address with 2^32 bit = 4 GB. So no, there will never be a 32 bit version of this game.

Uh.. You should really get at least 8 if you want to run GTA 5 normally.

You have 16 Gb ram with a 32 bit operating system? You know that a 32 bit windows cant handle more then 4 gb ram right?

It can (sorta) with PAE enabled, but that doesn't change the fact that you still cannot run 64-bit applications.

the game's hardware requirement isn't the issue here. The OS requirement is. It's a 64-bit application, therefore it REQUIRES a 64-bit version of Windows to run. Doesn't matter how much memory it may or may not use otherwise.

OP - Check online and/or contact Microsoft. Most Windows 7 keys can be used to activate both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS. You simply need to download the appropriate installation media from Microsoft.

You WILL have to completely wipe/reinstall the OS, but you can use windows settings transfer to save user data and stuff.

It don't just need windows 64bit, first of all you need to have 64bit CPU to install any 64bts OS. If he doesn't already have Windows 64bit, there is probably a good reason ;-)

PAE doesn't change that much the virtual address space for a process. You sure can see it, and the OS may use it but a single process cant use more then 3 GB( with PAE , 2GB without). Its not the same thing as having a 64 bit operating system, besides its a 64 bit app and it has to be due to the amount of resourced it uses at any given time, this game is a ram ♥♥♥♥♥.

You could solve this by getting a copy of 64-bit Windows, any flavor.

This. It will be worth the (free) upgrade, especially if you have 16gn ram... What were you thinking?
