Check that video to see some of the bigger censors.
Hm... That's lame. Guess it's time to check if the Japanese version of the game has a different region ID from the USA version.
Does anyone have an American GTA5 in their inventory? If so, I can check if it's redeemable here in Japan. That doesn't guarantee a lack of censorship (sometimes they base it on where you download the game from, not where the game was bought), but at least then when you go back to your home country it won't be censored.
Because there's no legal requirement to submit PC games for CERO classification. Thus, no legal requirement to make any cuts. Unlike console versions.
So far, there's no Japan specific version of GTA 5. But I'm holding off purchasing on Steam until that's 100% confirmed at release.
If anyone does buy it on Steam in Japan, check your account history to see what it adds to Steam as. If there's no "JP" after the title, it likely won't be cut.

I thought it was only Australia that is a baby country and censoring things
It's so pathetic lol I should be allowed to choose what I want to watch and play..
I fear the gaming industry will slowly have to become less and less violent
Japan certainly doesn't allow that. Naked breasts on a real person are fine, but lower down would be censored. However, games and anime are treated differently thanks to the campaigning of a former Governor of Tokyo. Any further detail though would break the forum rules so you'll have to research that yourself.
That's amazing. Germany is not being violent for 70 years already.
Russian and Syrian versions must be censored in 2015 instead.
