This thread is so users can discuss about the pricing of Grand Theft Auto: V.
This thread will as of now be the place for all pricing related discussions except from discussions about regional pricing which go here.

All future pricing related threads posted outside of this thread will be merged into this one with the aim to have a centralized discussion without having opinions spread over dozens of discussions which would just clutter the forum front page and hinder users from posting other discussions as they would quickly be bumped away.

The DLC of GTA are just updates.

70 bucks for a digital copy that they will 'update' and remove content/music from just like they did with San Andreas.

If the game is well optimised which i believe it will be given the specs and the recent delay this game will be well worth the $60 im planning to spend with the amount of content given. That is of course after i see some reviews on how the performance. The game is awesome and it has been some time since i played from release till this summer when my live ran out and didnt see a point in renewing since i have games on here to play. And with heists finally susposly being implemented online in the coming weeks, which i ve been waiting for a very long time on the consoles I will have no complaints and spend countless hours on this game of course if it is well optimised.

The game will have all the DLC that has been released on the consoles so far.

I think they're afraid to get pirated so they raised the price, ironically they will get way more pirated with such a stupid price tag.

I was just thinking this... personally I'm not buying it anyway as they took WAY to long, my ability to care for this game vanished a year ago, and any doubts I had have vanished with this price... they take a year and a half to port it to pc then expect us to pay full price for the wait.

As someone people mentioned before, R* is a business and they see the demand for their game is probably half the worlds population. I mean budgeting 500 mil on a game and making twice that amount in profits in the first 3 days says it all.

They are just making all teh money they can from all the marketing areas and when I actually sit down and think about it, it's a really good move business wise, but not really consumer wise.

When they released it on old gen consoles, I think I remember them saying they will never release on PC as too much pirates, blah blah blah and we are teaching them a lesson. The way I look at it is, first of all this would more than likely be a 'no sale' anyways and if someone pirates a game it's either they can't afford it or they live in a country where the game isn't very accessable for purchase so easily.

Now this is why we are very thankful for Steam as not only do they provide digital download purchasing, they have such a great community filled with gamers willing to help each other to make their game experiences as good as it can get.

So in the end all, if the $60 or more is a lot for you and you really want this game, just try to get a friend or relative to gift it to you or purchase and you could pay them off eventually, or if your patient enough, just wait till it drops in price by the end of the year to next year.

At least R* has the decency to give us a free San Andreas copy and ingame currency for the pre-order and hopefully this heist thing people keep talking about.
