Flight stick/steering wheel support?
I'm scared of how driving on PC will be. Anyone know if flight sticks or steering wheels will work? I know controllers will.

at the very least just use a controller..

I'll be using a ps4 controller that I bought specificly for GTA V on PC. Driving with a controller is the only proper way to drive in GTA. Turning is something you can do almost as well on a keyboard, it's just won't be smooth. But what you can't do on a keyboard is controll how much do you press the pedals to accelerate/brake, which is very useful in races.

It's useful for climbing hills in gta V too. I have dirt 3 and noticed that my logitech flightstick worked way better for driving than my keyboard.

lol my keyboard is almost purely mechanical (had the same one for 9 years) and I can control how much I push down on a key, I can use this in a lot of games to control my cars speed
I have for years. Or at least I am illusioned into thinking so (my driving is flawless in any pc game). So as long as you know how accelerating isn't a problem.

I just figured I wouldn't mind a steering wheel for the driving aspects...forget though, since I haven't thought of it in GTA 5...were there options in the console versions for manual shifting?

Dual Shock 4 for everything except when I'm running around shooting things. I have a G25, but it might be too clunky for this game. Can't imagine riding a BMX while using a wheel to steer.

Steering wheels would be fun, as I have a G27 with wheelstand pro (deluxe), and I've watched vieos of the game where people drive really twitchy on their consoles. the earlier ones I've played flawlessly with keyboard only. But the 1st person view opens up a new feeling to it.
Maybe just have it when jumping into cars (and maybe bikes).. and keyboard for everything else.

Anyway I will never pay 60€ for a game, (maybe a sim) even one I have waited for so long, I'll pick it up on a sale, when all bugs are ironed out too.

If nothing else you could be the getawaydriver that don't hit everything on the road all the time (think NOT Tyrone in snatch) :honkhonk:

Are they not supported? I'm still d/ling :(

Someone must know the answer to this by now. Are flight sticks and wheels supported? This is a dealbreaker for me.
Nope :( cant bind my Side winder Joystick, havent tried a wheel yet but im not hopeful. Extra Mouse buttons wont even bind.
Schoolboy 14 apr, 2015 @ 10:15
Only input is mouse keyboard and controller which shows an xbox controller... not chuff as i cant seem to get any option for my wheel and flight stick.
Myztkl©-Kev 14 apr, 2015 @ 13:00
may be possible to emulate a 360 controller. I have been trying with x360ce and will post if i get anywhere. More people trying different things, the faster we can get a solution we all can use. Don't know why rockstar couldn't be bothered to support other input devices.
ClancyDamon 14 apr, 2015 @ 13:09
Extra mouse buttons won't bind? That's just sloppy. Having at least five mouse buttons is standard these days. Hell, couldn't you bind extra mouse buttons in IV?
Crowbar Cigo 15 apr, 2015 @ 9:41
@ [LB]Myztkl-Kev: I am trying now for hours. somehow in x361ce everything is ok, but as soon as I start GTA V the game wont recognize my racing wheel :( I am using the Logitech Driving Force GT. It would be very nice if you cloud post it here, should you be sucsessful. It would be so sweet to drive the car with that wheel.
