How much money do the guys start with?

In the main storyline, how much money do each of the people start with when you first get them? I prepurchased the game and got the money bonus and I HATE GAMES THAT DO THIS AND YOU CAN'T TURN IT OFF!

It's impossible for me to know how it feels to actually have to work toward getting something in the beginning, because I start with almost TWO FLIPPING MILLION DOLLARS!

That is SO stupid! It completely ruins the immersion of the game.

PS: I tried turning off the DLC and it doesn't work. STEAM obviously has zero to do with it, because Rockstar still gives it to me.

I bought a retail copy of GTA V (PC of course) and it came with $500,000 (pretty that's how much it was) for the Story mode and $700,000 for online mode. The 500k only went to Franklin for me. One way to get rid of the money in Story mode would be to invest it in the stock market and just never sell the stocks to get the money back or wait till the stock falls out and then sell it and only get a little bit back then put it back into stocks again, repeat that until it's all gone or leave it.

I too noticed that Franklin had more money than the other two. Michael had more than Trevor (Trev was broke lol). So, I think they kinda dropped the ball with the money gift system.

It would have made a LOT more sense if they had done the following:

A) ASKED YOU if you wanted to apply the gift to a game when you start anew.
B) Spread the money out more appropriatly. (Michael would have made more sense than Frank)
C) Made it part of the storyline. (The could easily had a phonecall from a stockbroker etc)

Since Frank seems to be the ONLY one that gets the money, I think I'll just trick out a car real nice, pretend he stole it from someone famous etc, then park it in a garage and keep it there for the rest of the game. heh.

Thanks for helping me work it out. I kinda thought about this when I first got the game, but was so excited to play that I just dealt with it.

Franklin has around 300 dollar, Michael a bit over 7000 dollar and Trevor has 108,000 dollar. I also always get the 500,000 on Franklin from the pre-order bonus when I start a new playthrough. I usually just drive to a garage and respray the car for around 1k dollar each. If you do it quickly, it only takes around 1 or 2 minutes to get rid of the 500k this way.

You can of course also do the stock thing where you don't touch the stocks, but I prefer the money to be completely gone.
