Random Events

Hi All

In single player do certain Random Events not trigger until you progress further within the game. I Haven’t started the Mission Complications yet. I am playing as Franklin (I Haven’t unlocked the other two yet) I have retrieved a stolen BMX bike, returned numerous wallets to their owners and blown off back doors of the Vans containing cash. Do I have to unlock the other two characters Or just progress further.

Is there anybody who can help me on this matter. When do the Random Events like Burial, Hitch lifts, Gang intimidation, Shop robery etc become available for Franklin. The only events triggering are Muggings, Bike theft, construction accident, money trucks and Escape Paparazzi. I havent unlocked Michael and Trevor Or started the Complications Story Mission yet. I have Finished the Prologue, Franklin and Lamar, Repossession and Chop. Do I have to unlock Michael and Trevor and Progress further in-game (i.e : Start Complications) before these events activate. I dont want to progress any further in case I miss a Random Event leaving me unable to do it. As Franklin I have gone to the location where the Random Event Burial is suppose to trigger day/night but nothing is there. Does it have to be raining. I have even done the same with Random Event Shop Robery and no luck.

Are Muggings, Bike theft, Construction Accident, Money Trucks and Escape Paparazzi the only Random Events available to Franklin at the beginning of game until you complete (Complications), unlock Michael/Trevor and progress further in-game. Or are there other events for Franklin at the start I am missing?

PLEASE! PLEASE! Can someone help.

Seen as no one is remotely inclined to help I have now gone ahead and finished the mission Complications. I guess I will just have to see if the Random Events that weren’t triggering before Complications trigger afterwards. Thanks for nothing guys.

Hi All

I have now unlocked Michael and still no other Random Events except (Construction Accident, Muggings, Escape Paparazzi, Bike thefts and Money trucks) have become available. I have completed Michael mission Father/Son and still nothing. I know Random means just that but I have been Walking/Driving around for ages. I know you only have to do 15 Random Events towards the 100 perecent completion, but I would like to try and find all 60 if possible. I dont want to miss any. Can anbody help PLEASE!

Try driving or walking at the locations of the events, there's a list online about it and can be triggered when you come close to it.

You will see a marker on the map and hear some cry for help

Maybe you don't know where these are? Go to the socialclub.rockstargames.com -> Checklist and scroll down to the interactive map and keep driving to the places you are missing.

Trouble is I would like to try and discover them myself without the help of the interactive map.

You are calling for help but don't want help from something which is supposed to give you exactly the much needed help for this? Well good luck finding 60 random events across a very big island. The events are NOT on random places. Each 60 Events are on fixed positions.

I know sounds stupid doesn’t it. I just wouldnt like to cheat and find out the answer from the interactive map. Thats just the way I am. I dont even bother with buying game guides. Are certain Random Events missable or can you do them even after completing GTA 5. Sorry.

Hi All

Are there any prerequisites for some of the Random Events to trigger. Does it depend on the weather or day/night. Do Random Events appear even when you turn ON the Phones sleep function. I went against tradition and sneaked a quick peek at the interactive map for just one of the Random Events. The Random Event in question is the Drunk Driver 1. I went to the location shown on the map, but there was no Drunk Driver 1.

Also recently I read that certain Random Events start to become available after the Mission Complications. Have you found this to be the case. Sorry. Last thing, Promise.
