Stuck at 'Scouting the Port' mission (Trevor)

Whenever I try to pick up the containers with the crane on this mission, it won't let me lower or raise the spreader on the crane. All I can do is move the crane back and forth (W+S keys) and the spreader left and right (A+D keys). The icon says mouse wheel but it does nothing at all. Any other keys I tried to press are also doing nothing.

Google doesn't seem to have an answer to this problem too. Perhaps someone can help me here?

raising and lowering the spreader is bind to "mouse wheel" by default
tho i dont remember if you can rebind that

i havent tried personally cause i have a working mousewheel

Shift and CTRL don't do anything, like I said above. And my mouse wheel IS working, I can cycle through weapons and all that stuff.

how many mouse wheels you have 1 or 2 ?
neither of them work with the spreader?

well im clueless then if you say your mouse wheel works
try poking around in controls and eventualy rebind the controls to something else if you find it

I already looked around and didn't find anything. I also don't believe that there are crane-specific controls.

I just fixed it myself, it was a stupid software that comes with the mouse

As stated above - but to be a bit more explicit - this problem occurs when your mouse is set to "smooth scrolling" ... just change this is your mouse settings!
