"Your account has been signed out because you have logged in elsewhere"

This is the seventh time today that I've gotten this error, and it's really starting to piss me off. I'll be playing and when I go to a loading screen, I get a "Grand Theft Auto V has stopped responding" message, then after I close out of the game I am brought back to the launcher where I am greeted with the message "You have been signed out because your account [username] has logged in elsewhere."

This has gotten increasingly more prevalent and it is really beginning to make me angry. There are so many issues with this game, and it almost seems as if Rockstar doesn't care. It's almost like they have just abandoned it, and it's sad almost.

They can make contests and give away items, but yet they can't find the time to fix their flawed game. Seriously, Rockstar?

Anyways, does anybody know how to fix this so I won't get this error anymore?

First thing I would do is change my password.

Have you entertained the notion that someone else might actually be logging in to your account?

Yep. I've changed my password and the email associated with my Rockstar Social Club account, still to no success.

it happened to me when i crash, on 1st day of release. i just relog in and play on normal mode

try relaunch the game, i think that might work

When you crash, your account has not been logged out properly. So when the launcher opens again, it detects the previous session still active.

Find the cause of the crash instead. Your account is safe

It does that since you didn't quit the game "properly". Nothing malicious or anything to change your password for. Just close out of the launcher and relaunch. It will do the same thing if you exit the game using task manager a lot of the times.

My concern if I was you would be why does it keep crashing?

I've had 1 crash since i go the game. Though i do force quit alot when it gets in one of those loops of "could not join looby" loading "could not join online lobby" loading....etc.

I get crashes relatively frequently. It's probably a hardware issue.
