Better MSAA Solution
So, this is is something I just discovered. No guarantee that it works for you, I just wanted to share my thoughts to (maybe) enhance your GTA V experience. As we all know the Aliasing in this game is pretty bad and even full AA settings (even txaa, smaa, msaa and fxaa combined) wont alias really well. The reason for this is obviously a DX11 problem. If I switch to DX 10.1 the image is aliased like it should be. The downside is that you have to give up on High
grass,Dof and Tesselation. But for me a smooth image is more important then those few settings.Maybe a patch will fix this and the AA in DX11 will work properly, but for now this is probably the best option.Currently using 4xMSAA and it looks nearly perfectly anti-aliased.
If this was already discussed in another thread, sorry I didn´t read it. Feel free to post your AA insights and solutions, so that we gather as much information as possible. Have a nice day.

why dont you just force AA through NCP...

Doesnt work.I even tried it with Nvidia Inspector to overwrite GTA Vs AA settings but jeah....
Maybe you can tell your steps so that I can check if i missed something, but i guess not.

Nah the best way to remove jaggies in GTA V is using Nvidia DSR @ 20% or less smoothness. If you are native 1080p and bump that DSR to 1440p, it does wonders for GTA. You can turn all AA off in the game and use Nvidia FXAA in control panel to clean up whatever jaggies are left.

Tried DSR in depth. For me it isnt the best solution. The DSR filter (and added fxaa) blur the image quite a lot.I prefer sharpness. And even though the image is smoothed out jaggies still remain.I really tried a lot of different things, but in the end i came to this (dx10 solution) and it offers the best results, at least on my system.

I was playing maxed out with grass very high and MSAA 4x no FXAA at 1080 but aliasing the grass in can get demanding with too much framedrop for me. And MSAA 2x still showed too much jaggies so i tried DSR 1.78 15% smoothness (1440p) and used FXAA with no MSAA and was actually surprised how good it looked compared and gained about avr 15fps.

1080p MSAA 4X

DSR 1440p FXAA

if you look at stair cases on building on left you can see its much more detailed with DSR version

Also think i found a bug there is less grass with MSAA if you look at both pics that are same settings

Someone else just posted about the grass issue too - it's very noticable in his pics.

I used the gtav.exe and not the launcher.exe.

I just downloaded the new nvidia game ready driver 352.86.
It seems like MSAA under dx11 works better now and "grass sections" have a bit better performance. But after all that tweaking and twerking it may just be a placebo.

Looks like using MSAA forces the grass into Normal setting maybe, not sure if that happened to me but ill try that. Another reason to use DSR.

I don't know what GPU you have, but I know for a 970 or above you definitely want to use DSR with this game... for both performance AA and resolution quality. Even just looking at tattoos, hair, and sunglasses on your character it's much nicer and sharper with DSR. If you think it's too blurry, you just tweak the DSR Smoothness % setting in Nvidia Control Panel to your liking. I think anywhere from 15-20% is an ideal trade-off. Nvidia's FXAA in Control Panel doesn't blur the game nearly as much as Rockstar's FXAA.

Youre right looks even better with fxaa from control panel.
