fortunately i had also the ''no more main missions'' bug and i kept a lot of backup saves..
bad support is bad..they are too focused on the online..
now,any properties and random events missions not triggering.

I can't believe the problem would ever exist in a open-world game. The very feature that makes the LS world alive, and they just ignored. Not even 100%, as long as the story ended, the world became empty. If this is the way R* convince people switch from SP to OL, it would be very stupid.
I usually beat the main-story then worry about the side-quests, before I knowing the problem. Now the best I can do is re-play from a new playthrogh to get all side-quests and events. I see this is the only way to get 100% experiecne. OL has no thing to hold me because I know 10 years later when I show my son the game I loved, OL server won't be exist, all it left then is SP. Really that I wish they could fix this, instead of doing this for the reason I imagined.
Maybe I expect too much from them, or maybe It's time to change my steam name tag back.
Has anyone seen the issue in a new game (a game that was started AFTER the most recent update)?
I have also read that if for any reason the game is suddenly shutoff during a random event (rage quit, ctd, etc), it can cause the issue (can't really see how that would cause it so not sure how valid it is.)
I'm about to start a new game and I will post back if/when I notice a difference.
- Load save file - turn on "Sleep Mode" - go to sleep - turn on "Normal Mode" when you wake - random events should spawn now...
Which character did you try it with?
I used Trevor (at the sandy shores safehouse) and after turning normal mode on, I immediately drove to the place where Ursula spawns and she was there.
Best of luck
You are very likely to be correct on this one. I started a new game last month, and 100%ed it. random events are still there. however, I keep the cash for each character lower than 1.6 billion, because i didn't want anything to cause the issue again. btw, the only glitch i had was franklin's special ability bar reseted twice.
Rockstar's solution (as per a ticket I submitted) is to back up your saves, and then delete all but your main one, then clear the cache and load your save file... the cache being the Xbox cache. Not sure why Rockstar replied to my support ticket as if my platform were Xbox, but yeah. I guess it might be a valid solution for Xbox users.
Hmm that is an interesting idea. Id assume it is per character. I typically save all the extra stuff for after the main story and assassination missions, so I always have over 1.6 billion (i think 2.1 billion the max value allowed) and that is usually when i notice the random events not ocurring. I will try to keep my funds low this time around and see if I notice a change. Thanks for the input!
