"Team" text chat. Who can read it?

I know that there are two kinds of text chat in GTA V:

- public chat: keyboard "T" key
- team chat: keyboard "Y" key

Regarding "team chat", who can read your messages in a public session?

How can I assign someone to be in my "team"?
What GTA V understands as a team in a public session? A friend from Rockstar Social Club? A person who is part of my crew?

Everytime I send a message as a "team message", no one is able to read.

I googled a lot, but I couldn't find more information about that. I hope someone can help me.

I assumed team chat was only people in a mission with you (and on the same team). But i would very much like to know exactly how it works also...

Well, one will know once they try. But I would guess that they're more or less only made so that you can text talk to people that you're on the same team with when you play Deathmatch and such

It could just be going no where as your not in a team, there is nobody to recieve the message. It will probably be for missions only and they are to lazy to take it out of public sessions.

Yes, it works only in mission and heists (between 2 people in "ground team" for example). No teams in freeroam.

Team chat in free roam is used for your organization chat aka CEO or mc chat with crew members

i had the same problem a lot of time. U have to change y in other button. I have problem that i dont recive any massages dkuring heist, only after

Team chat and Orginization chat are different. If you aren't a CEO or MC pres and your press "Y" it will be Team chat instead of oginization.

thats what i meant team chat is used for org chat in freeroam
