Is there a way to disable auto load mode?

Sometimes when i run the game, it immediately sends me to story mode when i want to play online, and the opposite aswell... and sometimes it brings me to the main menu screen which i can decide on my own if to play single or multi.
What gives?? I dont want it to decide for me, its a watse of loading time.

There is a place in Settings/Options somewhere that you can tell it what to load into when you start the game.

Generally, when hitting launch and clicking story mode you have a brief period on the menu before it launches story mode, and if you launch using online mode you are instantly taken to online. I don't know a way to disable this, but choosing story does give you a moment to choose.

I see it, its under settings > saving and startup > startup flow.
Only has 2 options, to launch online or story, no way to 'choose'.

Thing is, that i mostly run GTA by clicking 'join game' from my friend list from whoever plays it. I find it much faster to run the game, i guess i should stop doing that.
