"Grand theft auto V exited unexpectedly" help me!

So i just bought this and havent been able to open the game at all, I did the social club login thing but then it never actually opens the game, and after a while a pop up tells me it exited unexpectedly and to try again or try safe mode, None of which do anything different.

Intel I7 Quad 3.0ghz
AMD Radeon HD 8790m
8 gb ram
1tb hardrive
Windows 8.1

i do have an integrated intel graphics card as well, but ive checked to make sure its using the amd one but the game wont even open still

If i set the game to use the integrated card it actually open the game, its just unplayable. what the hell!

YUP. Most people with AMD + Intel graphics card are unable to play the game due to the same error as you. Don't worry, you're not alone. Good news is, Rockstar are working with AMD for a fix :D

Seems im using 14.12 drivers, should i download the 15.4 beta driver? it claims its gta v optimised

I have the exact same error. It started all of a sudden. I have been playing for about 14 hours. Last night, opened the game, started story mode and it's starts loading... however, it freezes and finally crashes. I have AMD FX-8350, crossfire asus matrix AMD 7970p's (GPU'S) and a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 mobo. I'm running the latest 15.4 beta drivers from AMD.

I was playing fine up until last night. All of a sudden it stopped working. I have reinstalled the drivers and a slew of other things. The game now doesn't work. Have no idea what the hell happened. Nothing changed and I'm running an all AMD system.

P.S. - I am not running any mods.

I've never tried GTA 5 on 14.12 drivers but yes, it's best if you download the 15.4 beta driver since it's made for the game. I managed to fix this problem that I've been having using this method:

1. Right click on your desktop and go into Configure Switchable Graphics and change both "GTA 5 Launcher" and "GTA 5.exe" to Power Saving then Apply
2. Run the game, once an error pops up saying that your specs are below the minimum (or something like that) quickly change both GTA 5 Launcher and GTA 5.exe to High Performance then Apply.
3.Go back to that error window and click on Okay
GTA 5 should launch in a weird resolution, but you can change the settings once you're in.

READ: Settings that require you to restart GTA 5, should be avoided as relaunching it (using the method above) WILL NOT save the setting you tried to apply.

If the "Specs are below minimum" error isnt popping up. Try this:
1. Open Device Manager, pull down Display Adapters.
2. Disable your Intel HD Graphics
3. Launch GTA 5
4. Once the "Specs are below minimum" error pops up, re-enable your Intel HD Graphics then click OK on the error window.
5. The game will then start but a DirectX error wil appear, just click Okay through all these errors until GTA 5 stops responding. You'll then want to close GTA 5
6. NOW try the method above.

Hope this works for you as it did for me.
If you exit GTA 5, you'll need to do these methods all over again. Hopefully Rockstar can get a patch ,fixing this ♥♥♥♥, ASAP.
