Play GTA Online without friends.....? Is it possible

Hi guys... I just started GTA5 on PC and I'd like to play GTA Online but it seems I need Friends/Crew in order to do so.. Is there a way to join a random Online Game with people I don't know? Cheers!

To answer your first question ummm NO!!! it is not possible unless your willing to rip out your own hair trying to get upgrades, complete missions, and heists with the "help" of others.

For example: Its a pain in the ass to try and get 1st place in races so you can do upgrades, where people with crew and firends just loose to each other to get the same thing with ease. Or try and get through hiests with people that just want to ruin your day because they are bored, making heist impossible unless of course you do it with friends or crew. You can at least not have to worry about the trolls to much when playing missions because you can complete the job and still get paid without the help of the 3 ass clowns that will stay behind or just kill themselves and have you do all the work so they can just piggy back on your completing the mission. This game is so beautiful but damn it promotes some big brother type ♥♥♥♥ with needing to be social and being forced to play with others.

At lvl 1 it keeps telling me that server is unavailable... dont know if this has got to do with the lvl however..

Thanks for the suggestions guys... but im lost :/ sorry. I just started the game and feel like getting into some online killing spree instead of going through the whole story mode. I got no clue...

The first heist is a cakewalk. At the very least you can do that with a random.

yes you can, yes its fun, i did the first 3 heist with randoms with almost no quittng and very few restarts.
freemode is boring without friends, but missions and heists are fun. i dare to say the majority of people dont play with real life friends.

Guys... I think I have a bug.... I was about to do that jewelery store robbery in story mode where you have to select your crew (driver-hacker-shooter). Then my game froze... How long does it take for Lester to call back and continue with the mission in story mode? I only have 1 mission left on each character and i dont think they got anything to do with the story... Do I have to restart all over again? :/
