Petitions do nothing these days.

It's a pointless and useless endeavor. Better to speak with your wallet or calling and complaining to them by phone and on their support forum in large volumes, perhaps that will annoy them enough to do something about it.

Down voted the game. I've been thinking about it for a while, but this crossed the line.

I understand you're frustration, trust me no one loves mods more then me! I've been on dice's case for years now with every BF released since the Bad Company series to allow modding and the way modding is starting to get bad rep, the scene is changing sadly. But when it comes to a game that has a huge online component you can't really hate on a developer wanting to protect that portion of the game. Reason it wasn't that EULA from the start was they more than likely never expected the sheer amount of hacks that was going on and needed to do something to prevent it quick and this is what they've come up with. If you wanna blame anyone, blame those that hacked the crap out of the game to cheat online.
Banning online mods is fine, we all hate cheaters. However, this new change has banned it from both portions of the game when in single player all mods are harmless. It needs to change.

Don't see how not having mods ruins the game. Guess people want to ♥♥♥♥♥ to ♥♥♥♥♥.

Lets not forget, the game is pretty damn good without the mods anyway.....which can be a rare thing.
It's overrated for sure, and most of the time I would have spent playing the game was spent searching on google for ways to fix my progression bugs.

I agree that singleplayer mods are harmless, I just don't think Rockstar themselves can tell the difference between a mod that is for singleplayer, and one that is multiplayer.... for all we know as well, there are some mods disguised as singleplayer that work online too....
OnlyFeds 6/mai./2015 às 23:12
I don't believe that at all

I find the prospect of online play tedious, just not a fan, I would however if there were non game-ruining surprises people could bring in, someone driving a donut, discarded cup or some other random in-game item.

Please Rockstar sort this out, unless your aim is to annoy PC users to the point of piracy so you have excuse never to release anything else ever again, in that case well played.

Sorry to hear that, not come across progression bugs personally... game crashing and GTAV.exe not responding faults is something I'm getting a lot... but not progression bugs.

well I hope the policy changes... but don't expect much though... at least not for awhile... lets not forget the game hasn't been out for a month yet.

Maybe if you got a clue to what scripthook is & how it works you and 100 other people wouldn't be making threads like this. Right now even if you mod single player, there is nothing from stopping it from working in multiplayer too because it uses the same files.
This is one of the reasons they are banning single player modders too, the other being EULA.

Sure, a multi-million dollar company won't bother writing checks on SP/MP nor shutdown internet connection but going lazy with AC that ban everyone regardless of mods usage in SP/MP? I don't buy that.

Kinda funny when GTA IV didnt allow mods offically either, but since the online part used GFWL and offered no cheat protection people never complained, now since they are getting banned because they can't use their cheat...oh I mean "mods" they are crying about it.

The problem is online and SP they use the same core, so Rockstar dont want to accept this fact.

Any mod will load regardless of online or SP

How about just giving us an Offline option?

In the first place, having to connect to Internet to play SP is simply pathetic. Even Steam itself has Offline function so we can still play our games on home PC when experiencing connection issues.

This has ALWAYS been in their EULA...

Escrito originalmente por Rockstar Games EULA, March 31, 2010:
You agree not to: Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, prepare derivative works based on or otherwise modify the Software, in whole or in part;

AND its shown verbatim EVERY SINGLE TIME you start any of their games.
