how did lester end up in hospital?

i have the feeling a mission might have been cut from my countries version of the game Lester is fine in his home then a mission later he's in the hospital and its not really explained

It's believed Lester has muscle atrophy or osteoporosis. Both would require medical attention from time to time so there's doesn't need to be an explanation.

Lester has a degenerative muscle disease, which could be ALS or MS. Either would require going to the hospital for tests periodically.
