So I searched the internet and they mention nothing about monetizing videos. Anyone find anything?

It's easier to not get your channel shut down if you are signed onto a group, i.e. Machinima

Wait a second. You wanna sell in game footage for money. I wanna know who would pay for that kind of stuff in the first place.

hes not asking about just making videos and posting them, he wants to get paid for them.

Pretty sure thats a nono. It's not you're IP to get monetary gains from. Pretty sure Rockstar would close you down so fast your head would spin.

Thats not the same thing. They are receiving donations for the work they are doing. Not just the in game footage they are providing.

Donations and monetization are 2 completely different things.

definition of monetization on YouTube:

"Monetize your videos

You may enable eligible videos to earn money from relevant ads after you opt in your channel for monetization."

This is exactly what let's players do. and this is what OP wants to do.

I don't remember where I saw it, but something along the lines of -- as long as it has commentary and excluding copyright music, it's okay for your videos set for monetization. That's been for awhile though so I don't know if it's still valid/legal.

Of course, it's better if you ask Rockstar for 'permission' just to be safe.

It depends on the company's decision towards it mostly. for example you cant make money on videos that have Nintendo games in it, unless you agree to something or whatever. he can, (if they don't allow him to monetize it) however, post the videos without monetizing just to gain subscribers so people will watch his future, monetized, videos.
