Banned from GTA V Online

Okay, so recently, some of my friends and I were banned from GTA V online. I will admit we were using a cheat engine that changed the value of cheap cars for something valuable. +1 for honesty? Anyways, it is really unclear as to how long the ban will take. I never received an email from ROCKSTAR, at least of now, nor any heads up. Though I understand that I got banned for hacking the game, and I admit "I don' messed up up", in my defense, and I hope many can agree, it is a real grind to get money in the game, creating a system where almost anyone would do anything to get some money. Should I have hacked? No. Should my account have been banned? Yes and no. Though I did hack, and I admit to it, I feel that banning me is completely unnecessary. Sure, I did the wrong thing, but is it that bad that I should be banned from one of the main aspects of the game? Single Player is fun, but it is fun to a point, like most other Single Players. The Open-World Online is what makes GTA V, well GTA V. It is what makes the $60.00 game, worth the $60.00. Any ideas on what I should do to help my situation? How about does anyone know how long this will be for? I already got BFH taken away because the guy I bought the game from on G2A stole the keys. I am literally having the worst luck this week.

You think as cheaters as people who use mods and misuse them, that is wrong, they are in fact: Thieves, we customers paid 60 eu for GTA V which makes it 30 for singleplayer and 30 for multiplayer, if someone cheats and ruins your good time, he robs you of multiplayer part, which means he stole your 30 eu, now multiply it by ammount of players in online, and you get 100's thousands eu.

Conclussion? Cheaters are thieves who steal 100's thousand eu on daily base, can you forgive such insolence? You want them in seperate lobby? They deserve to pay highest price for such theft.

simply put, don´t hack and if you do, don´t try "explaining it"... hacks are hacks...i have 3 houses and garages almost full without using any hacks ever, not playing that much... you earn around 15-20k per mission (and even more if you do heists), thats plenty enough to get your sh** together... there is NO excuse to use cheat engine or what ever, ESPECIALLY in the online part of the game... do what you want in the story mode... but if you cheat/ hack online, live with the ban, everyone knows that it´s against the rules...

can´t rob a bank in RL and tell the judge "sorry, i did it because my boss doesn´t pay enough for a Ferrari and a Villa, i don´t deserve to go to jail..."

my 2 cents, safe them for your golden Helicopter...

Cannot help you with your question per se, but about the fairness of the system - getting banned for any kind of cheating is necessairy imo, no matter the offense. Once you knowingly cheat, punishement is a must. Not permabanned right away of course, I think a warning 7-days ban is perfect. Repeated offenders should be banned for like a month and all their online progress reset back to square one. And third time it should be permanent.

Your attitude is good, I hope you'll be back online soon (but without cheats), good luck :)

I have to say I disagree with 2 short bans and the third being permanent.

1 shortime ban, 2-4 weeks depending, all progress reset to square 1.

Second time caught cheating means permanent ban, people arent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they do not NEED a second warning to get the message. It is just catering to the cheating scum.

Modders aren't cheaters and you know it. They aren't even slightly related. Don't group legitimate mod makers with the weak pansy script kiddies that are ruining GTA. Mod making is important for PC gaming. It is NOT important or wanted in an online multiplayer game when all people do is ruin the fun and intention of the game. I say permanently revoke the online game access for those caught cheating.

honestly i don't see a big deal with changing value of cars and sell it, player abusing everyone in session with mod such as explosion and passive mode killing is the real deal. i dont give 2 sh*t about player hacking money as long they din't harm other players, i really hate those 12 years old kids using mod to abuse everyone just because they can't legitly aim and shoot properly in game.

i used mod many times before and i only use it in private session with my friends. i do spawn money for me and my friend to buy useless stuff because we dont think is wise to bought the 10 million gold jet with our own money. i use the mod to do funny stuff with my friend along too but we never use thee mod in public session, we been abused by other kids in public session before we know how it feels for other players.

what R* really care is money hack to prevent people from stop buying sharkcards. this is the aweful true, but many idiots don't understand and don't believe. if the mod doesn't have those abusive script just funny mods it would be better. 90% of players complain because of the abusive mod.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I got banned for 2 weeks (Yes, I had a menu, the annoying bit is all I used it for was spawning Besras for stunting, but it was cheating and I'm not complaining) but my question is after 2 weeks, do I have the dunce hat permanently? It seems like an unjustice to ban people because pegasus is awful and they want to spawn in the planes, when there are people going around ruining the economy, spawning things on people so they can't drive or fly and of course blowing everyone up. Does anyone know if I get the hat and will it stay permanently?
