Gamepad not working with GTA?

My logitech F710 has been working fine with GTA V for a few weeks or so, but now I can't shoot with RT and the car controls will make me go forward instead of braking, and when I brake, I can't go backwards at all. Is there a fix to this?

Guys, while playing (either SP or MP) go into Options, Gamepad, and select Calibrate controller. This only works when you're playing, not in the main menu.

I had the same problem, I could accelerate and punch with RT but can't fire. Solved it by changing the batteries. Sounds irrelevant but it solved the issue.
