Issue running
I just bought and installed the game, yes I have checked my specifications against the requirements to run the game and it meets them, not a problem.

I run the game, it sets me up with a rockstar account on social club and links my game.

Then the trouble starts, which is the same whether I select to play GTA V or GTA Online.

The social club shows "loading..." and signs me in, but before the game can load it displays the following;

"Grand Theft Auto V exited unepectedly. Please click Retry below to enter the game again, or click Safe Mode to launch the game with reduced graphics settings. If you continue to have problems playing the game, please contact Rockstar Games Customer Service at..."

Well, this simply will not do.

I have my drivers up to date with AMD, the BETA drivers 15.4 which AMD state are for Grand Theft Auto V.

My DirectX11 is of course up to date, along with my redist C++.

I am not running on a laptop which rockstar make a specific link between this issue for some ridiculous reason as it's not laptop users having issues with this.

I'm running the following set up.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz

GPU 1 :: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
GPU 2 :: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

Memory 8GB DDR2 Corsair

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (build 7601), 64 bit

I have read a lot of topics and pages on reddit but don't know where to start, if anybody has similar setup or have resolved this issue yourself simply and efficiently then please don't hesitate to comment here to help others, or if not then please I encourage you to add me and help me with this issue. I have little faith in any Support staff regardless of the company and know for a fact that wherever you go, they take far too long to deal with your issue, I as you can guess would like this fixed so I can start playing. Who knows we could probably play together when I manage to get on, but the main thing here is that we Steam users need to unite and help each other.

your pc barely meets the minimum requirements hardware wise.

One question though have you tried disabling one of your gpu's (turning off crossfire) and seeing if it runs?, also try going into c:\users\my documents and then delete the Rockstar Games folder after backing it up and seeing if that helps as some people have had issues where the config files and that stuff got messed up and caused it to crash.

another thing to try is to verify your files through steam and see if that fixes it.

unfortunately as i did not buy my version through steam that is about as helpful as i can be sorry.

one last thing that might be relevant to you using crossfire is, go into device manager and make sure both gpus are running the same driver version, back in the day I used to run 2 HD4870's and sometimes only one of the gpu's would get the drivers correctly installed causing all sorts of 'fun' issues.

It meets it and that's what matters, I'm not going to get into some debate about my specs, they run better than most computers which would show on CanYouRunIt as being supposedly better. It's down to the internal setups.

But either way, I've verified the game and it seemed to be fine from steams assessment. I did try disabling crossfire and it had the same reaction, I will try your other suggestion and get back to you.
Both are running the same drivers by the way.

Deleting the Rockstar folder in my documents had no effect.

It doesn't matter which I select, GTA V story mode or GTA Online, they both run the Rockstar social club leading to that message display.
I found this in my documents in the rockstar folder, the launcher logs.

.... Still no solution and 5 hours since I made a support ticket, being that it should be a high priority ticket, still no reply.

Starting to think Rockstar don't care about their players, only the profits.

Have you tried verifying your files? I know nothing about your specific errors but "ERROR_CATEGORY_LAUNCHER)

looks like it could be a problem with one of your files. Also, very few game supports will reply within 5 hours. Expect 1-3 weeks.
You don't know what you're talking about so please don't comment here.

For one, most supports will reply within 6 hours with an automated response.
This Rockstar Support is suggested to be more so, as it uses Twitter to create a "line" as you might say. Go and look for yourself.

Also, shouldn't be any file issues, because I already verified my files and it's a fresh download straight from steam.

Woah, I got the timeframe wrong. Please, tell me how I'm trolling, because I posted a genuine response in attempt to help you.

Someone had the same launcher error as you and also assumed the problem was to do with corrupt files.
If you googled the issue as much as I had or had any understanding of this particular issue, admitting I have almost no knowledge of it, meaning you have NONE. Then you would know that it is most commonly to do with drivers and the games poor compatibility. Just google it, I told you to ♥♥♥♥ off so hurry up and do so.
