Unable to complete mission "Father/Son".

Hey!
I recently bought GTA and i am working my way though the story, however, i've hit a snag. Having gotten to the Father/Son mission i believe myself to have hit a bug, one that makes me unable to complete said mission.

Near the end of the mission, when the mast swings out with Jimmy, you are supposed to be in control of Michael so that you can drive the car. This does not happen in my case. The camera switches to the perspective of Franklin (Hanging off the side), removing all control of the car (It just follows). Because of this i can't catch Jimmy, and thus i am unable to finish the mission.

I have tried switching characters, it doesn't work.

Press R to get out of Cinematic camera view, see if that helps.
