Finished storyline. What LCN shares to buy?
Heya folks,

I just finished the storyline, and was wondering on what LCN stock to invest the money on, now that the story is done and the player will not make profound changes to the single player stock market.

Any tips?
What stocks go big after the story is done?
What plummets down?

Thanks! :conwayheadscratch:

There are no profound changes to the stock market outside of Assassination missions and a few random events.

You can manipulate the market through various means as each company has a competitor, but the time and effort doesn't match the returns.
(For example you choose one car company and then drive around blowing their vehicles up, their stock will fall and their competitors will rise)

If you watch one companies stock for a while and look at the trend, you will notice that it has a slight pattern with varying highs and lows, you have to guess when it might rebound and then guess when to sell based on that trend.

With practice you can get returns, just nothing amazing

The trick is doing the first Lester assassination mission and leaving the rest till the end. That way you can invest with all three characters with all the cash you have collected over the story, netting you massive returns.

That's actually shown not to be true under testing. No statistically significant impact can be seen on any company when destroying their vehicles or property. Rockstar outright lied about that.

No they didn't lie, people just misunderstand how it works.
You can't create any significant impact on the market, that would allow farming (As you see with the Assassination missions)

Any given stock has peak area and low area, each varies depending on the trend, but not by all that much. (So lets say for example, a peak of $20-$50 for explanation purposes only)

Also there is random contractions and expansions of the trend line over time (So faster/slower growth/decline of the stock within its normal ranges)

When you start destroying vehicles and property, you aren't affecting the price, but forcing a contraction of the trend line for affected company.

For example I tried investing in AirEmu, and shot down FlyUS planes in a jet. FlyUS stock dropped and AirEmu's went up, but within it's normal ranges only. It gave me a slightly better chance at guessing the turnaround on AirEmu.

As I said, it takes more effort than it's worth when you can just muck around with the normal trend. It leaves you more time to do other things without the constant police attention.

Buy the crashed Merryweather stocks as soon as you complete the final mission. The crashed stock goes up nicely!
