Slow typing Skype when running GTA
If I am playing GTA and i need to type in Skype it will take about 10 seconds for 1 letter to appear.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've noticed the exact thing happening when alt-tabbing out to skype or another program. I am running the game in borderless window mode instead of full screen.

Audio from the game also stops when alt-tabbing out.

It is because the game is using tons of your cpu, thus slowing down normal processes like recognizing characters while typing. It will type slowly with any program, not just Skype.

It happens from time to time. Don't be confused, GTA is hogging your CPU...
Does it always happen to you though? It only ever really happens to me whilst the game is loading something.

My CPU is not even near "full loaded"...45-55% while playing GTA.

Typing in the Steam Overlay stuff works fine, but when you minimize the game the letters need some time to appear.

When you minimize GTA, your CPU goes back down... so if you are typing in steam overlay, skype, etc, even on a second monitor, the issue is due to that fact.

I am not a computer guy by any means but I have figured that by observing the patterns of the issue.

So that would also explain that, when the game is minimized, that the windows key is messing up?

Funny Guy.

It is the games fault, not due "CPU OVERLOAD".

I can run Prime95 123131313hours and easily can write an essay.

Typing a text does not need that much CPU power. My calculator is able to do this.

Stop telling wrong things.

This is still an issue!

I can't type properly on Skype because the Steam overlay is active.
I added Heroes of the Storm and started it from Steam. As soon as game started and overlay is active typing goes slow in Skype. I start the same game regularly without Steam and I can type fine. Also tried with Mortal Kombat X, same thing. One character appears after like 3-5 seconds after you pressed that key. And where you can type "normally" it's still sluggish.
