Disable auto-pause? (When in steam overlay)

Any way to disable the auto-pause feature when I shift+tab to bring up the steam overlay? I didn't see an option in the settings. I'm referring to single player only, i imagine online would be like that.

Isnt there something like "pause game on focus loss"? should be that

Not sure about in the overlay, but there is a "Pause on focus loss" thing that keeps it running when you alt-tab. I think when you hit the overlay it always pauses it in singleplayer though.

Doesnt work just checked. Overlay flickers like crazy for me anyway :D

Game pauses for me every time i open overlay online.
If the screen is loading - and you open steam - it will pause indefinately.

Soon as you shut steam overlay, game loads again.

yea it'll let it continue to load.

In singleplayer though the Steam Overlay pauses game like many other games. Online it doesn't.

This is stupid. You turn the 'pause game when non focused' off - and it still pauses the ♥♥♥♥.

pause game when non focused i think that means stuff is not focused and is fuzzy, unless you are looking at that spot, sorta tunnel vision, everyting around you is fuzzy except what you look at

Some games have this problem. When you use the steam overlay the game just freezes. Fortunately they are the minority.

The option to turn on/off pause when unfocused refers to things like the web browser. There is no pause in GTA Online (which makes sense since it is... online, imagine a pause in WoW!), everything still keeps on going while you are on the interwebz, the game is not slowed down when you bring up the radio menu or the weapon wheel, so the Steam overlay doesn't affect it either.

But it is really annoying when you are broadcasting Story Mode and you want to reply to people.

This pausing crap is really annoying. You are forced to stare at the blank screen while the game is loading instead of being able to do browse web and talk to friends while you're at it.
