I can't play GTA V due the region lock PLEASE HELP!!!

my girlfirend sended me GTA V PC as a gift and she is from Philippines and i am from Romania
How can i unlock the game for my region ?
I am afraid to use any kind of VPN because i don't want my account to be banned!

If it really is a Steam copy then open a support ticket with Valve and explain to them. They won't be able to make the game work but will be able to return it back to your 'GF' so she can use it instead.

Even when your GF bought GTA V from Steam in Philippines and gifted to you ( I do not believe that), your game is region-locked in Romania. It can be only used in Philippines.

Even if she activates it, it will not work because it is region-locked to Philippines. For activating and PLAYING he needs to be in Philippines, otherwise it will not work.

Yes, She can send it to you! But see the screenshot on that link. There is a warning, which tells where you can activate and play. (that troll with GF)

after reading those stupid replies I really feel bad for you
however, you cant play the game that your gf bought since it's in philippines and you can only play it in south-east asia, try contact steam customer service.
it's because in philipines it's only 45$ and i dont know the price in romonia
