how to use emote?

I see people using emote, how is this done with controller?

If you are using a controller, press down the sticks in different ways. (once, twice, press and hold). To set your emotes, go into the little quick menu, (where you can also browse inventory, mission, quick gps etc).

how many clicks? I click mine once nothing happens, if I hold it nothing happens. but if i click twice my character starts pointing. Where do I select the click and action?

1 click of both, 2 clicks of both, click and hold both. In the quick menu you can set it.
