"Use playGTA5.exe" issue please help!

When I try to run the game, it says "Please use playGTA5.exe to run"

Go in your GTA V folder in steam and run PlayGTA5.eve

There isn't a PlayGTA5.exe
I've reinstalled 3 times

Please search before posting. There are several other threads about this.

The steam version doesn't contain that file.

How are you trying to launch the game? you should be doing so via the Steam Game library.
Make sure that Social club is properly installed as well. It should be located in the \installers\ folder.

You can also try doing a game cache integrity check as well.

There is only "GTA5.exe" and "GTAVLauncher.exe" so WHO is saying this?
Plus u can't run GTAV outside of Steam when u have this version.

If trying to run the game outside of Steam, using GTA5.exe, it'll say use to use PlayGTA5.exe.
Just run gtavlauncher.exe instead, or run the game via Steam like you're supposed to.

Well given how the previous games worked, it's the "Launch" .exe that is really the main one. As that is used to then launch the other main game .exe
