Worth buying again for PC?
I have this for PS3. Is it worth buying again on PC for the improved graphics and features?

Yes, I had it on 360 back in 2011 and beat it in 50 hours, rebought it on PC. 100% worth it.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to rebuy it. I am playing it on PS3 and loving it. I can only imagine how much better it looks on the PC :)

If you sync your Rockstar Social Club account from the PS3 version to the PC version, you unlock new "Veteran" content that wasn't present in the original. Including new weapons, new cars, new activities, and even a few new missions.

I never played the original so I don't have any of that stuff. :sadpanda:

But you can get it! :fhappy:

If you don't have a Rockstar Social Club account, make sure you sign up on PS3 before you get the PC version. You'll need a Social Club account to play it on PC anyway.

Here's my take on it: If you already have the Xbone or PS4 version, I wouldn't bother getting this unless you have a strong PC and want the small amount of visual improvements and higher frames. If you've only played the PS3 or 360 version, getting the "next gen" version of the game is a much bigger upgrade.

Yep, have it on 360 and the PC ver works soooooo much better. Huge improvement from 360/PS3.

The first person mode is pretty great (could play the whole thing first person if you want), video editor, better graphics, much better loading times (almost 3 minutes for PS3 and around 45 seconds on my PC) and framerate if you have a good PC, higher density traffic. Maybe a couple of other things I can't seem to remember right now.

If you have the hardware to run this on mostly high settings @ 1920x1080 res.... I say YES!

The PS3 version (including 360) compared to PC is night & day. I have a very modest rig, but take good care of it and squeeze the most that I can from it without shortening its lifespan.

AMD FX-6100 OC 4.1 GHz- Yuck, right? Nope...Runs gta 5 & everything else beautifully, no hitches at all!!
R9 270x 4gb (no OC needed yet)
16gb Kingston HyperXBlu ddr3 1333mhz.

I can play with every single graphical setting at its highest, except what I do is just keep shadow quality at high & amb. occlusion on normal. Oh, and I enable super-sampling instead of MSAA for obviously higher fidelity- STILL smooth in the frames-per-second department! Plus, I have 'long shadows' turned on in advanced display settings.

Almost every possible setting maxed, with ridiculous image quality to boot. Combined with my 7.9mbps cable speed (small city), offline and online are completely smooth. My profile is set to public; go ahead and check out my screenshots for yourself- That is what I play with at all times. And it is AMAZING. I still cannot believe my rig is able to run everything at a constant average framerate in the mid-50s. While on foot, always 60 fps.

I waited patiently and had faith in the company when they said they wanted more time to work on the game. The wait was worth it. Optimization is great across the board for such a pretty game. Still 10x better if you have at least one friend who will play it with you.
