How badly does distance affect performance?
I am speaking stricly about the distance in the "Advanced Graphics" settings. Is it worth going over 50%? I was looking at some compairisons online and honestly there is like little to no difference between 0% and 100% how much of a performance hit is there and is it worth it for what visuals it presents us with?

The performance hit depends on your system really. For me it's a big performance hit if I put advanced distance scaling to 100% so I leave it at 0% since most of the time I am not looking into the distance but my immediate surroundings.

I have a 780ti and 4770k with a slight OC I noticed the largest performance hogs are as followed

-GRASS!! (largest of all)
-Any AA over 2xMSAA
-High Quality Shadows (Adv. Graphics)
-Distance (Advance Graphics)

Also the games Vsync seems to be broken and I have to use "Borderless Windowed"

I've done benchmarks with my gtx 760 2gb, i5 3.2 quad, 8gb ram and get a constant 60fps without distance scaling, with 100% extended distance scaling I get drops into the 20fps range. I dont think the game looks that much better with extended distance scaling anyway, It's not worth losing fps.

Iv'e done lots of benchmarks with different settings and apart from 100% extended distance scaling the very high shaders, ultra reflections and very high/ultra post fx seem to have the biggest impact on performance.
