Just coz most do dosen't mean he will be able to get it. You obviously don't understand how it works with ISP's and what you can get from them in your area. At my address I can only get ADSL+2 but people 30 mins from me have fibre optics allready.
And even then in Australia we get capped download allowences which is a downer too.
I may be on ADSL+2 but my max speed I ever get is around 350KBPS down but not the point lol just trying to say to the guy who obviously dosen't know how our net works here in Australia that its not as easy as switching companies or changing plans.

I decided to move on the wrong side of the freeway here because it's the difference between a max of 20/2 and 100/20.
Still US gets things alot easier then here when it comes to internet options specially since they don't have to deal with download limits per month most of the time.
With that, comes a nifty little addition. For every 50GB you download after your cap, is another +$10 to your bill. Figured that out when I hit around 1TB a few months ago.
edit: I say recentl loosely, because it wasn't until recently that I noticed.
