I think if you were trying to coordinate high-end jobs like heists, having a mic is ideal but not required by any means.
I have used the text chat just as frequently as the voice chat because sometimes it is more convenient when I am dead and watching in spectator mode :p
So yeah. Having a mic is a plus, but there is also text chat. It is kind of a handicap using text chat due to obvious reasons. As long as atleast one person uses voice chat and gives the commands you should do fine.
please ,, if you plan on using a mic dont abuse it
for some reason in gta 5 people like to abuse the mic to extremes , lots of open mic breathing , odd chanting and bad singing , racist remarks
it gets annoying and ruins the game .
That's why I like the mute button.
Thanks for the information guys.
